Project Coordinator & Strategy Writer

This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce (the "Chamber") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for a  contracted Project Coordinator and Strategy Writer to lead the overall Seasons of Opportunity: Planning a Four-Season Visitor Economy in Prince Edward County project and produce its final strategy document, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the "Deliverables").

 The Chamber is a not-for-profit membership organization representing businesses and economic development interests across Prince Edward County. The Chamber serves as the chair of the Four-Season Visitor Economy Partnership, a collaboration formed in 2025 among key community and economic development organizations to increase off-season vibrancy and build long-term economic resilience in the County.

 The Partnership includes the County of Prince Edward, County Arts, Visit The County, and Picton BIA. Together, these organizations are working collaboratively under a shared vision: a Prince Edward County that thrives year-round, where businesses, residents, artists, and tourism operators all benefit from a diversified, resilient visitor economy.


Job Title: Marketing & Communications Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs for Youth)

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our team in a Canada Summer Jobs Youth role. As a student in this role, you will assist with a variety of marketing and communication tasks to help execute and support our marketing strategy. This position offers valuable experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and more, allowing you to apply and expand your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. The ideal candidate combines traditional marketing expertise with strong understanding of AI tools, analytics, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for various communication channels, including website copy, blog posts, social media, and email newsletters.
Social Media Management: Help schedule, monitor, and analyze posts on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Event Promotion: Support the promotion of company events and campaigns by creating flyers, email templates, and digital ads.
Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and consumer behavior to provide insights for marketing strategies.
Internal Communication: Assist with the preparation of internal newsletters, announcements, and other employee communications.
Analytics Support: Help track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and digital channels using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines and contribute to maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms.
Member/Business relations: Provide support to chamber members.
Networking Opportunities/Engagement with Community: Opportunities to network with chamber members and community residents at chamber events.
AI & Digital Strategy: Using AI tools to assist with content ideation, optimize current processes, keyword research and ensure that all AI-generated/assisted content aligns with brand driven insights and automations tools to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (social media, email, search).

  Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, business, or related program at a university or college.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Canva, social media management platforms, etc.).
Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
Strong understanding of AI tools and platforms (e.g. ChatGPT, Google AI tools, etc.)
Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to adapt to brand guidelines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience or internship in marketing or communications is a plus but not required.
