We are seeking input from local businesses regarding the level of business support for a resident discount card program. Those who complete the survey before the deadline will be eligble to win 1 of 5, $100 gift cards for local businesses. Please note that the survey will close on June 26, 2026.
A potential opportunity is to expand the municipality’s Summer Pass into a discount card that residents could use at participating businesses. Administration of the Summer Pass is currently paid for by taxpayers and restricted to residents of PEC only, who must prove residency either through a tax bill, service bill or similar. The bearer’s liscence plate and make of car is currently added to the pass, as it’s primarily used to access parking.
The goal of this survey is to understand:
Whether businesses would participate in a resident discount card program;
What types of discounts / offers are feasible;
What administrative burden is acceptable to businesses.
This survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes.
Responses will be aggregated and reported to County staff and/or Council by the end of Q2 2026. Please note that responding to this survey now does not obligate your business to join later.
